Other Countries

Paradise Africa has recently been exploring other countries, Zambia, Namibia and Rwanda, and can now offer safaris with the same detailed knowledge as we have for Tanzania.

Wild gorilla with baby in Rwanda

Kenya - is excellent in combination with Tanzania, spend a day in Nairobi and visit the David Sheldrick Elephant orphanage and Giraffe Manor's Giraffe sanctuary, then fly on into Massai Mara for a different perspective of the Serengeti /Mara plains.

Rwanda - Offers an easy 'add on' to a safari in Tanzania, of 4 or 5 days to trek and see Gorillas. This is an unforgettable safari to see the endangered Mountain Gorilla, so passionately revered by Diane Fossey, whose grave can also be seen. You need to be reasonably fit and prepared to get a little damp but the sighting is well worth the effort.

There is now a shared charter, flying daily from The Serengeti in Tanzania to Kigali in Rwanda.

wild cheetah in Namibia

Namibia - Famed for its dessert dunes and fabulous landscapes, rather than its wildlife but unique in its own right. Though Etosha, at the right time, has abundant wildlife around its waterholes. The sand dunes, Etosha, and the Cheetah sanctuary are not to be missed.

Shoebill Stalk in Zambia

Zambia - Has an outstanding variety of wildlife, waterfalls, countryside as well as the swamp lands of Bangweulu - equal to those of the Okavango Delta, and where they offer the chance to see Sitatunga and the very rare Shoebill Stalk. Some parks are inaccessible for several months of the year. Luangwa Valley and Lower Zambezi are exceptional for wildlife.

Both Zambia and Namibia, like Tanzania need at least 2 weeks in each country to appreciate the beauty, culture and wildlife, and we would not recommend trying to visit all these countries in 2 or 3 weeks
