At Paradise Africa we aim to give a very personal service. With many years experience in the travel business and first hand knowledge of East Africa, our speciality is to put together a trip that is tailor made to your own holiday plans.

BROCHURE & FACT SHEET ACCURACY

We have tried to ensure that all the details given are as accurate as possible at the time of going to press. We will endeavour to advise you of any changes after publication that are likely to affect the enjoyment of your holiday.

FLIGHTS

Scheduled flights operate to Dar es Salaam with KLM, Kenya Airways (via Nairobi), British Airways, Emirates, Swiss, Ethiopian Airlines, South African Airways, Qatar, Turkish Airlines, Egypt Air, Oman Air, Air Malawi and Air India. We recommend that you book your own flights to enable you to obtain the best prices available.

PASSPORTS AND VISAS

It is the responsibility of each person travelling to ensure that they have a valid 10 year passport with a minimum of 6 months remaining before expiry. Visas are required for UK passport holders. If you are travelling on a non UK passport please check with the relevant authority. Visas can usually be obtained on arrival but this is not recommended. Visas are normally required for entry into Tanzania. Please check with your local Tanzanian Embassy or High Commission.

INSURANCE

It is a condition of booking that clients are adequately insured and that Paradise Africais is informed of the policy details before departure. Those taking a diving holiday are strongly advised to check that they are fully covered for all eventualities and remember to bring PADI or equivalent certificates.

HEALTH REGULATIONS

Travellers to Tanzania need protection against Hepatitis A, Typhoid, Tetanus and Polio. A Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is now required to enter Tanzania from any country other than direct flights from Europe - but this is likely to change to include all people entering Tanzania. Malaria tablets are also recommended. These are only guide lines and it is your responsibility to ensure that your protection is up to date. Please consult your GP or Travel Clinic.

CURRENCY

The local currency is Tanzanian Shillings. For visitors, however, prices are generally quoted in $US. In general credit cards are only accepted at airlines and major hotels. Master card, Visa, Diners and Amex are the only cards accepted. For day to day expenses you are advised to bring cash in US dollars or travellers cheques.

TIPPING

Tipping is generally the norm for all services. As a guide line for exceptional guiding $5 - 10 per person per day would be appropriate, but is not obligatory.

TRANSFERS AND EXCURSIONS

We will arrange your transfers to and from Dar es Salaam airport and onward land transfers or internal flights between your chosen destination. (Internal flights have a weight restriction of 15 Kilo per person) Additional short tours or local excursions can also be included in your final programme and booked and paid for before departure.

DIVING

Diving is excellent in Tanzania with many PADI certified dive operators who provide good equipment so there is no need to bring your own, but bring any qualification certificates.

SINGLE TRAVELLERS

Accommodation prices are based on double occupancy but a supplement will usually be charged for single occupancy.

Please indicate any special requests and dietary requirements at the time of booking. As a tailor-made specialist, we will do everything possible to accommodate any requests, but we cannot make any guarantees.
