We worked in accountancy and marketing in UK for most of our lives, during which time we visited Africa frequently as safari clients, and fell in love with it, so much so that in 1999 we decided to ‘sell up’ and try to realise our ambition to manage safari lodges ourselves and become safari guides. We were lucky enough to achieve both these ambitions and we have personally conducted vehicle, walking and boat safaris extensively. We have operated in Selous Game Reserve, Mikumi, Ruaha and Serengeti National Parks, Ngorongoro Crater and a beach lodge in Zanzibar amongst others.
We set up Paradise Africa in order to share our love of Africa with others and to offer not only the wonderful well known locations but also ‘off the beaten track’ opportunities.
Our experience extends to 16 countries in Africa including Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Zambia, Botswana, and Namibia. And we have sampled every kind of accommodation available from basic tents to super luxury lodges in over 350 locations.
Our Mission is to provide a very personal service and to tailor our programs and accommodations to match expectations, using our experience from both the viewpoint of the client, having been one ourselves many times, and also the provider, having seven years experience in this field. We will never recommend a location that we have not personally visited in Tanzania and rarely in other countries unless they are highly recommended by people we know.
We still live in Tanzania and are very much at the heart of the safari scene. In short we had a dream fulfilled and want to fulfil the dreams of other people in this wonderful part of the world.
